Evie Huhta is a self-taught watercolorist known for her bold, chiaroscuro style. She loves to experiment with dense strokes, loosely-defined forms, but mostly just follows where the paints take her in the moment. Having informally experimented with oils and pencil-sketching in the past, she is happy to have found her niche in watercolor and views it as the most improvisational and spontaneous of mediums.

Evie began competing in National Exhibitions in 2014, and quickly gained accolades and acclaim:

- Rockies West National
oyal Brush Award, 2014
